Tasting Notes
This classic Cabernet Franc is a stunning deep purple color, coming from the volcanic obsidian-rich soils of East St. Helena. Perfumed with aromas of reduced black cherries, new leather, espresso, and redcurrant. On the palate, flavors of blackberry jam and black raspberries are complimented by a rich earthiness and chocolate notes. This potent and vibrant wine features firm tannins with great balance of texture and freshness, and a very long, satisfying finish.

The Story
In the 17th century, Cabernet Franc was established in the Loire region of France when the polarizing Cardinal Richelieu sent varieties from Bordeaux to be planted at the Abbey of Bourgueil. In the centuries that followed, it became one of the pillars of fine wine in both regions.
