The Clos Blanc, a mythical, mystical vineyard, is adjacent to the Château du Clos de Vougeot. This golden triangle, surrounded on all sides by great reds, first offered its pure, golden sacrament to its spiritual fathers, the first monks of Cîteaux, in 1110. Known as “The White Vineyard”, it is like a diamond set in the center of rubies.

The Story
Domaine de La Vougeraie stands as our flagship Burgundian estate and the very precursor to JCB’s vision of excellence. Since 1999, it has embodied the Boisset family’s unwavering pursuit of quality, with organic and biodynamic practices shaping wines that are poised, precise, and unforgettable.
Nuits-Saint-Georges lies on a bed of Comblanchien marble, on the hillside at the base of the Combe de la Serrée, in the sediment cone of the Hautes-Côtes.
The vineyards, solidly seated on middle Jurassic sedimentary formations, are cut in two by the town, where the Meuzin stream flows out of the Combe de la Serrée. To the north lies Vosne-Romanée, to the south, Premeaux-Prissey. Being exposed to a variety of directions, the characteristic tastes vary, with more rustic wines to the south of the village. Nuits wines are only at their best after several years, and are ideal for patient collectors.
